The Cynn Cruor wants to live in harmony with the human race. The Scatha Cruor wants to enslave them. When I first started reading this book, I really got into the whole backstory of it. There was a lot of detail put into the surroundings and even the dialect of the persons speaking. I was really impressed.

The idea behind the book is really impressing as well. Mixing two different genes to create a totally new one is a really good idea. It reminds me of "Underworld" and I am a HUGE fan of those movies. I was really excited to delve into this book. The author does a great job of making you feel like you are watching everything happen before your eyes. Her story-telling skills are excellent.

This book does get very hot and steamy right off the bat! There is not a long wait for something to start happening. My only concern with this book is that after Finn meets Eirene, the story begins to take a different turn. There is a lot of emphesis put on the relationship between the two and not so much the story line I originally thought I was getting a glimpse at. Not that I don't LOVE a good steamy romance, but the idea that the author has come up with is magnificent! I want to know more about this secret society!

All in all, I give this book a solid 4 stars. I believe it could have been 5 stars if there was more emphasis on the plot and not their love lives, I do look forward to reading book 2 in this series. I would recommend it for anyone who can't get enough steamy scenes!
