I am not surprised at all that I absolutely loved this book!! I feel in love with the characters which made this such an enjoyable read. There is no more of a dysfunctional Russian family as this one.

SD knows how to weave a story line to keep you hooked from the first page to the very end. What an amazing author!! I love Scarlett's writing into the deepest depths of my soul!!

Thank you Scarlett for staying true to you. There is no greater joy than when your next book comes out!!

I had no doubt in my mind that I would love this book. I love everything that Scarlett puts out. I became a huge fan when King Hall released and I have stuck behind her all the way through all her great projects.

This story was not the paranormal romance that I love reading of hers, but it is still a book you cannot put down once you start reading it. This is a short fast read but still holds a lot of subsistence. 

This is a great romance with a little mafia style thrown in there. You won't be disappointed!

You know you have truly found a good book when you can't put it down after you start reading it. I think it is fair to say that if that is the kind of book you are looking for, you have found it!

Hunter is the kind of guy who ahs a different girl every single night. He doesn't want to get hurt and all the girls know the score up front. I have to say I was a little peturbed at the way he treates women. But I knew that must mean there is something truly amazing that is going to happen.

Sam's story is heartbreaking. To have to endure the kind of abuse she had to makes you forget that her mother is human. I like Sam's character but I am more of a strong woman/heroin fan so I was hoping the whole book wasn't about a woman's internal struggle. I was not disappointed.

Let me tell you; when a unexpected job puts Sam and Hunter on the same path, things get really STEAMY! There is a lot of effort and passion put not only into the characters but the story as well.

This book is a page turner. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a quick read that you will undoubtedly read in one sitting. Kudos.

            “Do you know her?” Damon asked but he never looked away from the girl.

            “No, but I know she can ride. And won a lot of money.” Devin smiled and held up a wad of cash. Damon would bet it was at least two thousand dollars.

            “I’ll give it to her.” Damon grabbed the money out of Devon’s hand and headed toward the girl.

            “Damn man, give the rest of us a chance, dude.” Damon ignored him and jumped off of the platform. He stepped up on her right side just out of eye sight.

            “Your winnings.” When she turned to face him, he got a good look at her up close. She had green eyes, jet black hair that was wet from her helmet and bronze skin.

            Her tank top was damp from sweat and clung to her torso. He could see the outline of her breasts under her bra and her waist was small, emphasizing her ass and hips. She had long legs but she was petite enough to where he could pick her up, throw her over his shoulder and carry her off with one arm. Caveman thinking, Damon.

            “Are you going to stare all night or give me my money?” Damon blinked. He looked down at the hand she was holding out waiting for him to hand her the money. When he looked up at her face, she had a small smile.

            “I’m not done staring yet.” She actually blushed.

            “You can hand over my winnings or I can take them from you. Your choice.” She tilted her head to the side just a little. Yeah, that would be fun.

            “I’ll take option two, after I buy you a drink. You know, to celebrate you winning.” Damon could tell everyone near them was watching and listening, but he didn’t care. He crossed his arms over his chest, money still in hand.

Stephanie is a new indie author who loves to write. She lives in West Virginia with her 2 children and dog. Stephanie lives in West Virginia with her two children and dog. She has visited a few states and loves to travel, however she is more of a homebody and she loves to curl up with a good book and get lost in another world.

She has a BS in Criminal Justice and has spent her years reading about and exploring the mind.

Her long time goals are to be a Criminal Profiler and to write her stories. She is now completing one of those goals.
